How the programmes are delivered
Teach First NPQs are designed to fit around the demands of working in a school. Participants will learn through a blend of:
- flexible online learning and evidence-informed modules
- facilitated online seminars
- local, in-person conferences and training
- discussion and collaboration with other school leaders
- practical application within the participant’s own setting
- preparation and support for the final assessment
Scholarship funding for autumn 2026
DfE scholarship funding is available for the NPQSL, NPQH and NPQ for SENCOs for teachers and leaders working in publicly funded schools, including maintained nursery schools, and 16 to 19 educational settings in England. DfE NPQ funding guidance
Important
Eligibility does not guarantee that a course is suitable or that a funded place will be available. Scholarship funding is limited, and providers may prioritise applications. For the NPQ for SENCOs, priority may be given to those who need the qualification as a mandatory requirement of their role.
How to apply

- Complete and submit this application form - NPQ with BST application form – Fill out form (application questions attached)
- Register with the DfE NPQ Registration Service. Register for a national professional qualification
- Ensure you have approval from your Headteacher and Line Manager.
- Accept your course offer by responding to the offer email.
