Alex Sasebes - Head of Physiotherapy

Alex completed her BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Degree in 2018 from the University of East London and has now enrolled on the Masters in Osteopathy Degree at the University College of Osteopathy, in order to qualify as an osteopath. She has been working as a sports therapist since graduating UEL, whilst also qualifying as a dry needling therapist and obtaining the FA Level 5 Advance Trauma Medical Management in Football.

Before joining Barking Abbey in 2019, Alex has worked with Be Fit Today Track Academy and former Millwall Lionesses, now London City Lionesses and attended two World Masters Track and Field Championships and the European Basketball Championship Under 20 Division B, where she gained valuable experience.

Since joining Barking Abbey, Alex has also been working with Basketball England, becoming lead sports therapist for the Under 14 Girls Squad and also attending several international tournaments with other age groups. 

At Barking Abbey, Alex will be responsible with assessing and examining injuries, designing injury rehabilitation and prevention programmes, and providing manual therapies. She will work with the strength and conditioning coach and the sports coaches, in order to ensure all athletes receive the best care and are always ready to give their best on the court or pitch.
