  • My best memory was Schools National Finals & travelling to Truro for the play off match with good team spirit.

  • Open University studying my degree part time. Currently working as a LSA in a secondary school.

STUDIED A LEVEL GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, ENGLISH LIT

  • My best memory is too hard to pinpoint, but probably Malta after a hard day's training just laughing and singing in the minibus!
  • Values BA taught me, Teamwork is everything, on and off the court, work hard to do yourself and your team proud. Resilience – Not to give up when things get tough, usually these are what make you a better person. Determination and Confidence are so important. 
  • Gap year travelling – Australia
  • Graduate from the University of Nottingham and now have the role as Lettings Executive at Atkinsons Residential estate agent.

Studied – A Level – Geography, Psychology, English Literature

  • One of my favorite memories is going Cornwall to play Truro – what a game and journey J determination from the team to get the win, team bond we had together.
  • Values BA taught me were there was no ‘I’ in team. Having great individual players wasn’t enough if we didn’t work cohesively together on court, we would not win but when we worked together, we had the best outcomes.
  • Graduated from University of Nottingham With a degree in Geography and statistics
  • Started a junior club for primary girls in local schools. Internships working with charities like the Princes Trust doing some Statistical analysis for them.
  • Currently studying at UCL – Engineering Masters Degree
  • Rehab from Achilles injury

  • One of my best memories was School National Finals with my team!
  • Values I learnt at BA ‘if you don’t truly believe in yourself and capability, you’re the only person that holds you back.’
  • Graduated from Middlesex University gaining a Degree in Dance Performance
  • I am currently studying Musical Theatre and Commercial Dance at Tiffany Theatre College on a Pre – Professional Course.
  • I play Premier Netball league and still train with Hertfordshire Mavericks when it does not clash with Theatre College.
  • Highlight was England Netball U21 Squad in Australia winning Gold Netball Europe

I loved my time at Barking Abbey and being part of the Netball Academy.

  • One of my best memories was travelling to Truro, not only was it a very exciting match, but the sleep over and the whole trio was just having fun with my team!
  • Values BA taught me was a key phrase “ mind over matter” ( you’ll hear it a lot) but it is so true, and I have used it to excel even after the academy.
  • I am about to complete my BSc International Management degree from Warwick University.
  • I have obtained a graduate role as an Associate Consultant.
  • I had some of my best years in the Netball Academy and have made lifelong friends, I couldn’t imagine what my life would be like if I never joined.
  • Highlight was my second year I was able to captain the second team and play alongside the first team

  • One of my favorite memories must be Malta with the squad.
  • Winning AoC National Finals against Exeter with my squad (but I have so many memories)
  • Values I learnt at BA was how to be a captain, how to manage my time and balance netball, time to eat and schoolwork. 
  • I am currently in the VNSL with London Pulse, England Futures and studying for a degree in Sports Therapy at Hertfordshire University
  • Highlight is representing England and being selected for NSL

Alumni Student – Emma Shaw becomes Roses Academy sports performance analyst.

Emma was at the U21 Europe Netball Championships where England was crowned Champions. Previously to this role Emma was the Analyst for Wasps.

  • and Physio Kadeen then went on to Bath University,

  • went to New Zealand for a test series where she gained her
  • first cap at GA against New Zealand at 18 years of age!!

  • Kadeen has gone a full circle and after finishing her degree at Bath University, she arrived
  • home to Barking Abbey where she joined the coaching team,
  • alongside Tracy and Debbie at the Barking Abbey Netball Academy.
