Barking Abbey School were lucky enough to receive a visit from a very special guest on Wednesday 12th July.

Ex-England Lioness and Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott MBE partnered up with Starling Bank’s ‘Kick on’ campaign, gave the BA football girls an opportunity they would never forget.

The day started off with 12 excited year 7-10 girls taking part in a football session led by the academy staff and players. The girls were anticipating the arrival of the special guest throughout the entire morning, whilst the media team from Starling Bank were setting up. When she arrived, the girls were ecstatic! Three lucky students were chosen to interview Jill Scott about girl’s football. All of the team were then able to meet her, take photos, sign autographs, play some football and receive some all-important coaching advice!

The day ran smoothly and the girl’s behaviour throughout the day was exemplary, and they were a true asset to Barking Abbey School.
