Homelessness

07 Mar 2023

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to people all around the world, and one of the most devastating consequences is the increased cost of living, leading to homelessness for many. It is a basic human right to have a roof over our heads, yet this privilege has been taken away from countless individuals and families. In such trying times, it is heartening to see young people taking proactive steps to address this issue.

Miss Ahmed's Year 11 students have embarked on an Active Citizenship Project aimed at raising awareness about homelessness. Their hard work and dedication are admirable, as they have taken the initiative to create a project that highlights the challenges surrounding homelessness in their local area of Barking. The students have produced a video that showcases their research, insights, and findings on the issue.

The Sandringham Year 11s deserve recognition for their commitment to promoting awareness and understanding of homelessness. By educating young people about the stigma surrounding homelessness, they are helping to remove the negative stereotypes associated with it. Such efforts to raise awareness are crucial in promoting change and tackling this issue head-on.

We commend Miss Ahmed's Year 11 students for their exceptional work and encourage others to watch their informative video. By taking the time to understand the issue and its impact, we can all take steps towards preventing homelessness and providing support to those in need. Once again, well done to the Sandringham Year 11s for their dedication and for being role models for others to follow.
