Celebrating Student Success on A Level Results Day

Barking Abbey is celebrating remarkable, record shattering results this morning.

150 A*/A Grades were achieved, one-third of all results; and two-thirds were graded A*-B. Vocational results were similarly higher than ever before.

3 students achieved all A* Grades; a further 22 achieved all A*/A Grades. In addition, 11 students achieved triple Distinction in their Vocational Course.

We could not be more proud of our students: it is worth remembering how disrupted this year group were during the Pandemic. They worked exceptionally hard, guided by experienced teachers and supported by our brilliant pastoral teams. These outstanding results will ensure they get their first choice Universities, degree apprenticeships and full scholarships to the United States.

An incredible 66% of students who applied for university are going to Russell Group Universities, and 29 students are going on to complete degree apprenticeships, including KPMG, Amazon, Deloitte and London Metropolitan Police.
