SIMS Learning Gateway LogoThe current system used to check the progress of your children (ePortal) is being replaced from the start of the Autumn Term by the SIMS Learning Gateway service.  Using this service parents can check the progress of each child enrolled at the school while students can check their own progress record.

The new service gives access to the following:

  • Parental overview of all children enrolled at the school
  • Checking Timetables
  • Live attendance marks and statistics
  • Behaviour and Achievement Reporting
  • School Reports
  • Electronic Copies of Letters sent home
  • The ability to request updates to personal details (subject to proof of change)
  • Notices and announcements

Usernames and passwords will be issued to all parents and students individually in the new academic year by letter in the Autumn Term.

The ePortal will remain up and running if you require records prior to the changeover

There is a change to the law on authorising holidays during term time, with effect from this September.  There is also a further change to penalty notices.  Please click here for more information from the DFE

The government are removing, from the 2006 Registration Regulations, reference to family holiday and extended leave as well as the statutory threshold of ten school days.
