Lee Ottey, ASCC, BSc (Hons)

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Lee is an Accredited Strength & Conditioning coach with the UK Strength & Conditioning Association, a course tutor for Greenwood Weightlifting, a British Weightlifting Licenced Coach, CrossFit L1 Coach and also holds a BSc in Exercise, Nutrition & Health.

Having worked for many years as a personal trainer in a large corporate gym, Lee moved into the specialist area of Strength & Conditioning. He began his S&C career at the University of East London working with scholarship athletes in the High Performance Centre.  Over the past 5 years Lee has worked with athletes from a variety of individual and team sports including his appointment in 2010 as Lead Strength & Conditioning coach to Great Britain Women’s Handball in their preparation for London 2012 which led to him becoming a member of Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Lee is currently Athletic Trainer to the Swiss National Women’s handball team and visits the athletes in Zurich for training camps.  He is also a partner in Raeda Strength & Conditioning where he coaches weightlifting and CrossFit and trains several athletes.  Lee also provides part time S&C services to the netball academy athletes at Barking Abbey.
