Miss H North Head of Key Stage 4 Drama
Mrs K Wharnsby Head of Key Stage 3 Drama
‘What is Drama but life with all the dull bits cut out?’
The department is run by a lively and passionate team of specialists who are committed to keeping abreast of current theatre practice. Our ethos is to develop individuality; to encourage students to think and express themselves with flair and confidence, but also to encourage tolerance and understanding.
Students are given opportunities through practical and written drama activities to experience the world around them and begin to appreciate situations from more than one perspective. Through drama, we encourage students to question, challenge and ultimately change their perception of the world in which they live.
