GCE Results Day

Once again, this year’s Results Day saw Barking Abbey students celebrating outstanding achievement across a wide range of courses. These excellent results mean that the majority of students have achieved their first place university offers.

Here are just a few of our students' outstanding achievements:

Sowmiya Gunabalasingam achieved A* A* A  A in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics. She will now be studying Medicine at Kings College, London.

Haroon Ayub achieved A* A* A in English, Sociology and History. He will now be studying English at University College London (UCL).

Olivia Atuegbu achieved A* A A in Sociology, English and RE. She will now be studying Sociology at London School of Economics (LSE)

Ria Ashani achieved A* A  A in Business Studies, Art and Psychology. Ria will now be starting an Apprenticeship in Business Management.

Misha Iradukunda achieved A* A   A in English, Biology and Chemistry and will now be studying Medicine at Manchester University.

Zahra Akram achieved A* A B in Sociology, History and English and will be going on to study Law at Queen Mary College, London.

Dilveer Bains achieved A* A B in Sociology, Economics and Maths and will be going on to study Economics at either Leeds or Manchester University.

Arnas Petrauskas achieved A* A B in Business, Economics and History. He will now be studying Economics at City University.

Jumana Amin achieved A  A  A in English, History and RE. Jumena will now be studying Politics at Kings College, London.

Seyam Hamed achieved A*  A  B in Maths, Physics and Further Maths and will now be studying Physics at either Durham or Bristol University.

Luke Vickers achieved A* A B in Photography, Computing and Graphics. He will now be studying Creative Computing at Queen Mary College, London.

Amara Waseem achieved A  A  B in English, RE and Graphics and will now be studying Law at SOAS, University of London.

Inaya Akhtar achieved A, A, A in Mathematics, Physics and Art and will be taking a gap year before embarking on a degree in Architecture next year.

These are just a few examples of our students' successes and we would like to congratulate all of our students. Good luck to the whole of our Year 13 as they start the next stage of their journeys!
