BA student to represent Europe & the Middle East at the Global Junior NBA tournament
The amazing news has just been announced that Barking Abbey’s own year 8 student Ines has been selected to represent Europe & the Middle East at the Global Junior NBA tournament in Florida, USA.
Through playing in the Greenhouse Barking Abbey Basketball team, Ines was chosen as one of only 4 UK players to attend the selection camp in Bologna, Italy earlier this month, competing against youngsters from all over Europe and the Middle East for the prestigious spots on the team that face the rest of the world in Orlando in August.
Ines was one of the youngest players at the selection camp where most of the participants were year 9 students. She obviously outshone the competition to become one of the chosen few to not only represent Barking Abbey, Greenhouse and the UK but to represent the continental team.
Wishing Ines the best of luck at the Global finals and have the most incredible adventure in the states. We are so very proud of you.
